Google is a search engine but is very much useful tool during hacking training. We can take help of Google in hacking. We can unleash the power of Google through Google hacking methods.
Google hacking is very old process. The process involves using operators to refine your results to get what you want. With Google hacking it is possible to fine-tune results to obtain passwords, logon portals, configuration data, certain file types, folders, and other data.
Let’s know about the operators that make it possible:
cache :
It displays the version of a web page that Google contains in Google cache instead of displaying the current version.
Syntax: cache:<website name>
link :
It lists web pages that contain links to the page or site specified in the query.
Syntax: link:<website name>
info :
It presents information about the listed page.
Syntax: info:<website name>
Site :
It restricts the search to the location specified.
Syntax: <keyword> site:<website name>
Allintitle:
It returns pages with specified keywords in their title.
Syntax: allintitle:<keywords>
Allinurl:
It returns only results with the specific query in the URL.
Syntax: allinurl:<keywords>
